Job Description

Work as an onsite special education teacher supporting students in Setting 4, which serves children with the highest behavior needs and most severe disabilities. This assignment is based in Coon Rapids, MN, and runs from February 9, 2026, to June 5, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction tailored to students with significant behavioral and developmental challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs and district standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and well-being.
  • Manage classroom environments that accommodate unique behavioral needs while promoting learning.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with families and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota teaching license with Tier 3 or 4 special education endorsement.
  • Experience working with high-needs students in Setting 4 or similar intensive support environments.
  • Comfort and competence managing severe behavioral challenges.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to commit to the full contract duration and commute to Coon Rapids, MN.

Work Schedule:

  • 37.5 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
  • Full workdays aligned with the school calendar during contract term.
