Job Description

A licensed Special Education Teacher is needed to support a Language Learning Disabilities (LLD) program within a school in Holyoke, MA. This full-time contract role starts ASAP and continues through the end of the current school year, serving students with specific learning disabilities and communication impairments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the teacher of record for the LLD program
  • Provide instructional leadership and specialized teaching aligned with students IEPs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to individual student needs
  • Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals and support staff to ensure effective academic and behavioral support
  • Manage classroom environment to promote a positive and productive learning atmosphere
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching license
  • Proven experience working with students who have learning disabilities and/or communication impairments
  • Strong background in IEP development and implementation
  • Excellent collaboration skills, especially working alongside paraprofessionals and other support staff
  • Effective classroom management and instructional planning abilities
  • Reliable transportation for timely attendance and commitments

Location: Holyoke, Massachusetts (within the Impact Prep program at a local school campus)
