Seeking a skilled special education professional to support early learners in a rewarding contract opportunity. This position is dedicated to working with young students, from Early Childhood through Kindergarten, and requires certification in Cognitive Impairments. The role is based on a school schedule, running from 8 am to 4 pm, with assignment dates beginning May 18th and extending through June, resuming again from August through October.

Ideal candidates are passionate about individualized education and possess a strong commitment to the growth and well-being of students with diverse needs. The assignment centers around both instructional leadership and case management for a welcoming, collaborative school environment.

Qualifications:

• Certification in Special Education with a focus on Cognitive Impairments
• Experience with Early Childhood to Kindergarten age groups is strongly preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills
• Familiarity with updating and developing IEPs
• Ability to participate in meetings and contribute to positive team dynamics

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as lead teacher for a caseload of Early Childhood through Kindergarten students
• Update or initiate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as required
• Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings and related case conferences
• Manage caseload documentation, communication with families, and service coordination
• Foster a supportive, individualized, and inclusive classroom environment
