Job Description
An immediate opening for a Special Education Teacher certified in Cognitive Impairments is available at a school location in Holland, MI. This contract position offers an opportunity to work with early childhood through kindergarten caseloads and make a meaningful impact in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead teaching responsibilities for early childhood and kindergarten special education students
- Manage and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including initial and annual reviews
- Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide case management duties to support students' educational progress
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to cognitive impairments
Qualifications:
- Current certification in Cognitive Impairments required
- Experience working with early childhood to kindergarten caseloads preferred
- Strong organizational skills for managing IEP documentation and meetings
- Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and specialists to meet student needs
Work Schedule and Duration:
- Contract hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Contract period: May 18th through June, then August to October
