Job Description
This contract position is for an Onsite Early Childhood Special Education Teacher located in Wilmington, DE, starting February 17, 2026, through June 11, 2026. The role involves working 37.5 hours per week with a 30-minute paid lunch break and provides a caseload focused on early childhood special education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support tailored to young children with diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with families, therapists, and school staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Track student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet developmental goals.
- Foster an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment that encourages growth and engagement.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Delaware teaching license is required.
- Dual licensure in Special Education and Early Childhood Education is highly preferred; however, candidates possessing either one license are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working within early childhood special education settings strongly desired.
- Ability to maintain detailed records and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
