Job Description

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Delaware teaching license required (attach with your resume to apply)
  • Dual licensure in Special Education and Early Childhood Education is highly valuedbut candidates holding either credential are also encouraged to apply
  • Previous experience working with young children or in special education settings is beneficial
  • Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a collaborative approach are essential

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction tailored to early childhood special education students
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and fellow educators
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Maintain detailed records on student progress and participate in meetings as required
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a variety of learning styles and developmental needs

Schedule & Additional Information:

  • Contract runs from mid-February to early June
  • 37.5 hours per week with a 30-minute paid lunch each day
  • Manage an early childhood caseload in an onsite setting dedicated to collaboration and student success
