Qualifications:

  • Current Massachusetts Special Education License required
  • Previous experience working with K-12 students preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet a wide variety of student needs
  • Collaborative mindset for working with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage IEPs, progress monitoring, and documentation
  • Knowledge of differentiated instructional strategies and behavior management techniques

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with varying exceptionalities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate closely with fellow educators, support staff, and families
  • Adapt instructional materials and strategies to ensure student success
  • Maintain accurate student records and communicate progress regularly
  • Participate in professional development and team meetings as needed
