Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing critical support in a special education setting for the upcoming 20262027 school year. Contract opportunities are available for skilled Special Education Teachers across several elementary and middle school campuses in the proximity of Hilton Head Island, SC. These onsite roles allow you to collaborate directly with students, teachers, and staff, ensuring every learner receives tailored educational assistance.
Open positions cover a range of support needs, from Early Childhood and Intensive Support for multiple categories (including ASD) to Supplemental and Hybrid Support models. Each site offers unique challenges and rewards, fostering your professional growth within dynamic educational communities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Previous classroom experience with special education populations (preferably in K8 settings).
- Expertise in one or more areas: Emotional/Behavioral Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities, or Multiple Categories.
- Ability to implement IEPs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication, adaptability, and organization skills.
What Youll Do:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
- Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Employ differentiated strategies and evidence-based interventions.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive environment for students and participate in meetings with families and other professionals.
- Work closely with general education teachers to ensure student success in mainstream and specialized settings.
These contract positions begin in August 2026 and continue through June 2027. In-depth details regarding each opening, support model, and student profiles will be provided during the interview process.
