Job Description

A full-time opportunity is available for experienced Special Education Teachers to support students with mild to moderate disabilities in an onsite setting. These positions will focus on a specialized program designed to serve students with significant behavioral and social/emotional needs. Candidates will work closely with a caseload of fewer than 15 students, providing individualized support and instruction to foster academic and personal growth.

Locations include multiple school settings, with openings for both Elementary and Middle School levels. Candidates must hold or be eligible for a valid Oregon Special Education License and possess the ability to obtain an Oregon teaching license. This contract role extends from December 1st through the end of the school year in May, offering a chance to make a direct impact in a supportive and structured environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Oregon Special Education License required
  • Ability to obtain Oregon teaching license if not already held
  • Experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities
  • Skills in managing behavioral and social/emotional challenges within a specialized program
  • Strong classroom management and individualized instruction capabilities
  • Commitment to providing onsite in-person instruction

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted special education instruction to students with significant behavioral and social/emotional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and monitor student performance
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

This role offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 to 40 hours per week with an immediate start and contract duration through the school year. Interviews are scheduled promptly to facilitate quick placement.
