Key Qualifications:

• Possession of, or eligibility for, a Professional Educators Certificate in Primary/Elementary Education, ESE
• Bachelors degree in education, early childhood, special education, or a related field
• Reading Endorsement and ESOL endorsement required or willingness to enroll to acquire them
• Department of Children & Family Child Care Training completion required
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred
• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and Internet research

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging academic and social skills instruction, adapting methods and materials to meet the diverse needs and abilities of each student
• Design, implement, and monitor progress on IEP objectives
• Recognize and respect each childs special needs, interests, learning style, temperament, and cultural background
• Collaborate with staff and families to support each students development and daily transitions
• Serve as backup for the Director in their absence
