Job Description

This position offers the opportunity to provide specialized instruction to exceptional Pre-K students, fostering their academic and social development in alignment with individual education plans. Location: Miami, FL
Job Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Full School Year, 40 Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction to exceptional students with a focus on academic and social skills development based on Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs).
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate each child's unique interests, learning styles, temperaments, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Serve as backup to the Director in their absence, ensuring continuity of leadership and support.
  • Maintain open communication with parents, staff, and administration to support student growth.

Qualifications:

  • Hold or be eligible for a Professional Educators Certificate in Primary/Elementary Education with a focus on Exceptional Student Education (ESE).
  • Bachelors degree in Education, Early Childhood, Special Education, or related field.
  • Reading Endorsement and ESOL certification required or commitment to enroll in these endorsements.
  • Completion of Department of Children & Family Child Care Training is mandatory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office and internet research tools.
