Job Description

Youll play a vital role supporting elementary and middle school children, helping them thrive academically and personally through creative instruction and strong team collaboration, all in an onsite setting.

What Were Looking For:

  • Valid Georgia Special Education (SPED) teaching certification (please provide verification upon application)
  • Prior experience in a school-based Special Education environment preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication abilities
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with general education staff and support Individualized Education Plan (IEP) implementation
  • Documenting student progress, behaviors, and maintaining clear records
  • Full-time availability for 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored for students with autism spectrum disorder in elementary and middle school classrooms
  • Collaborate with related service providers and general education faculty to foster an inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor, document, and communicate student progress in line with IEPs and educational goals
  • Develop creative strategies and tools for classroom engagement and behavior support
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured classroom setting with positive reinforcement
