This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work with pre-K students who have mild to moderate needs, providing specialized instruction to nurture their unique talents and foster development. The role spans the 2026/2027 academic year, from August 13, 2026, through June 3, 2027, offering a consistent and rewarding schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:15am to 3:15pm.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Special Education Teacher certification or license, with a focus on early childhood preferred
• Previous experience working with pre-K or early elementary students is highly valued
• Commitment to inclusive, differentiated instruction tailored to students with mild to moderate needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Must be fingerprinted and clear all background checks prior to start for the Pre-K classroom

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized instruction to a caseload of 13 pre-K students, in alignment with IEP goals
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans fostering social, emotional, and academic growth
• Adapt curriculum and utilize specialized strategies to meet individual student needs
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure cohesive support
• Conduct progress monitoring, maintain detailed documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Support a nurturing and positive classroom environment where every child feels valued
