Job Description

Starting in August 2026, youll engage full-time in a dynamic and collaborative community, providing dedicated instruction and support to students with a variety of learning needs.

What you'll bring:

  • Valid West Virginia teaching license with any endorsement in Autism Spectrum, Learning Disabilities, Behavior Disorders, or Mild/Moderate Impairments
  • Experience teaching or supporting students in a special education setting
  • Confidence managing multiple caseloads or preference for a specific type of caseload (please indicate your interest)
  • Ability to adapt instruction to various learning styles and needs
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and administration
  • Comfort working onsite, virtually, or in a blended model, as indicated by your preference
  • Strong digital literacy if considering the VOCO (virtual) option

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Deliver engaging instruction and adaptations to promote academic and personal growth
  • Track progress and maintain accurate student records
  • Establish positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary meetings and ongoing professional development
  • Foster a safe and supportive classroom or virtual environment

This is a unique chance to choose between onsite and virtual teaching, supporting students across multiple caseloads within a reputable school district. Full-time hours (approximately 35 per week) provide consistency and a rewarding daily routine.
