This contract position offers both onsite and VOCO (virtual) opportunities, allowing you to select the work environment best suited to your strengths and preferences. Starting in August 2026, youll engage full-time in a dynamic and collaborative community, providing dedicated instruction and support to students with a variety of learning needs.
What you'll bring:
- Valid West Virginia teaching license with any endorsement in Autism Spectrum, Learning Disabilities, Behavior Disorders, or Mild/Moderate Impairments
- Experience teaching or supporting students in a special education setting
- Confidence managing multiple caseloads or preference for a specific type of caseload (please indicate your interest)
- Ability to adapt instruction to various learning styles and needs
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and administration
- Comfort working onsite, virtually, or in a blended model, as indicated by your preference
- Strong digital literacy if considering the VOCO (virtual) option
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Deliver engaging instruction and adaptations to promote academic and personal growth
- Track progress and maintain accurate student records
- Establish positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Contribute to interdisciplinary meetings and ongoing professional development
- Foster a safe and supportive classroom or virtual environment
