This full-time Special Education teaching opportunity supports K-12 students within a school in Harvey, Louisiana. The position runs through the current school year, with a contract end date of May 22, 2026. This role provides direct instruction and support tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of students requiring special education services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and modifications according to student IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Monitor and track student progress, maintaining detailed records and reports
• Participate actively in district meetings, professional development, and compliance activities
• Uphold all district and state special education guidelines and regulations

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Louisiana DOE Special Education Certification (required)
• Previous experience working with K-12 special education students preferred
• Ability to complete district-mandated drug screening and fingerprinting
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ready for immediate placement; candidates must hold current certification without pending licensing processes

Schedule and Location:

• Full-time position, 35 hours per week (7 hours daily with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), Monday through Friday aligned with the school calendar
