Caseload: Self-Contained Program
Sunbelt is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers for a local school district for the remaining of the current year and the upcoming 20262027 school year.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Current CT Special Education Teaching Certification
- Prior experience with self-contained caseloads preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific needs and abilities.
- Teach various subjects to students with mild to severe disabilities.
- Collaborate with other teachers/staff, administrators, and parents to support student success.
- Monitor student progress, assess developmental levels, and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that supports emotional and academic growth.
