Seeking a skilled professional to make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic preschool environment near Hartford, CT. This contract position involves working with a diverse caseload that includes both general education and special education preschoolers. The daily schedule runs approximately from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, supporting young learners during their critical early education years.
Key Requirements:
- Valid Connecticut certification in Preschool Special Education
- Experience or strong interest in working with preschool-aged children
- Ability to effectively manage a mixed caseload of general and special education students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment
Primary Duties:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers to meet each childs needs
- Provide direct instruction and adapt curriculum to accommodate a range of learning differences
- Track and document student progress in alignment with state and district requirements
- Foster an engaging, supportive, and safe classroom atmosphere that promotes growth and learning for all students
