A school in Hartford, CT is seeking a Special Education Teacher to manage an 8th-grade caseload. This contract position offers a structured schedule from 7:50 AM to 3:10 PM, providing consistent work hours in an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and provide case management for 8th-grade special education students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and guardians
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with middle school students, preferably 8th grade
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, practices, and classroom management
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a school team
