Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Special Education teaching certification (SE credentials required)
  • Experience working in special education, ideally with emotional support classrooms
  • Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for advocating for students with diverse learning and social-emotional needs
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, support staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Support students in developing self-regulation, social skills, and academic growth
  • Maintain a structured, compassionate, and responsive learning environment
  • Communicate regularly with families and team members to support student progress
  • Document interventions, track progress, and participate in team meetings

Schedule & Details:

  • Hours: 7:30am - 3:10pm, Monday through Friday
  • Grade Levels: 7th and 8th grade middle school students
  • Caseload: 13 students in an emotional support setting
