This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support young learners aged 3-4 years with identified disabilities, including autism and developmental delays, at a school in Harrington, DE. This is a travel assignment, offering the chance to impact childrens lives while working onsite throughout the assignment period.
Assignment Details:
- Discipline: Special Education Teacher
- Location: Harrington, DE (Travel position)
- Duration: ASAP through the end of the school year
- Weekly Hours: 37.5
- Caseload: Varies depending on candidate; multiple openings available
- Student Population: Preschool students (3-4 years old) with autism and/or developmental delays
Qualifications:
- Valid Delaware Special Education Teacher license required
- Experience working with young children with disabilities such as autism and developmental delays is preferred
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with families and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the developmental needs of preschool students with disabilities
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate with families, therapists, and other educators to provide comprehensive support
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
