Job Description

A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Hampton, SC. These contract positions serve both elementary and middle school levels with dedicated responsibilities tailored to students requiring specialized educational support.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing resource support to middle school students, approximately 12-15 in number.
  • Offering resource support to elementary school students, with a caseload of about 15-18 students.
  • Delivering instruction and care as a self-contained teacher for 8 elementary students aged 4 to 8.
  • Developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborating with school staff, parents, and related service providers to optimize student progress.
  • Monitoring and documenting student growth and adjusting interventions accordingly.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with elementary and middle school students in resource and self-contained settings.
