A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Hampton, SC. These contract positions serve both elementary and middle school levels with dedicated responsibilities tailored to students requiring specialized educational support.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing resource support to middle school students, approximately 12-15 in number.
- Offering resource support to elementary school students, with a caseload of about 15-18 students.
- Delivering instruction and care as a self-contained teacher for 8 elementary students aged 4 to 8.
- Developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborating with school staff, parents, and related service providers to optimize student progress.
- Monitoring and documenting student growth and adjusting interventions accordingly.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with elementary and middle school students in resource and self-contained settings.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to implement specialized instructional strategies to support varying student abilities.
