Key Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio Special Education Teaching Certification required
- Experience working with students receiving special education services preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with staff, students, and parents
- Ability to adapt and tailor instruction to diverse learning needs
- Commitment to student-centered learning and a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to students unique strengths and needs
- Provide direct instruction and academic support to K-12 students across a range of disabilities
- Track and monitor students progress, maintaining accurate records and preparing required reports
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and school staff to support inclusion and ensure accommodations
- Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and encouraging classroom culture
The assignment includes a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week across five days, allowing for strong continuity with your students while maintaining work-life balance.
