What Were Looking For:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Education (required)
• Valid New York State Special Education teaching certification
• Special Education certification for 2nd grade, or an all-grades SPED certificate
• Experience working with elementary-age students (preferred)
• Ability to meet any district or state-specific requirements

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, 1:1 special education instruction and support to a 2nd-grade student
• Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs and IEP goals
• Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment
• Collaborate with classroom staff, related service providers, and families
• Document progress, develop instructional strategies, and maintain compliance with district/state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and collaboration as needed

Position at a Glance:

• Onsite role, Monday to Friday
• Flexible scheduling: 3 hours per day or full 7.5 hour days
• Work within a single school for consistency and teamwork
