Job Description

This opportunity is for special education teachers to provide support in early childhood resource teaching roles across elementary, middle, and high school levels. The positions are based in Halifax, NC, and involve working onsite within local schools. The assignment runs from July 27, 2026, through July 2, 2027, with a 35-hour workweek.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering specialized instruction and support to students with special needs in inclusive educational settings
  • Collaborating with general education teachers and other staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and communication with parents, staff, and administration

Qualifications and experience preferred:

  • Valid North Carolina special education teaching certification with ability to teach EC resource classes
  • Experience working with students in early childhood through high school special education environments
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt instruction to a variety of learning styles and needs

Location and schedule:

  • Onsite teaching positions in Halifax, NC
  • 35 hours per week, scheduled during the school year from late July 2026 to early July 2027
