Key Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina EC (Exceptional Children) teaching certification required
• Proven experience working with students in special education resource settings
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Role Overview & Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to students in EC Resource classrooms (2 elementary, 1 middle, 1 high)
• Develop and adapt lesson plans in compliance with IEP goals and state standards
• Assess student progress and document outcomes appropriately
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing updates and collaborating on individualized plans
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate accommodations and services
• Foster a positive, accessible, and safe learning space tailored to diverse student needs
• Maintain accurate and thorough records in line with district and state policies

This contract role begins July 27, 2026, and continues through July 2, 2027, with a consistent commitment of 35 hours per week in an engaging, onsite environment.
