Four EC Resource teaching positions are available, supporting students across elementary, middle, and high school levels for a dynamic school year. Key Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina EC (Exceptional Children) teaching certification required
- Proven experience working with students in special education resource settings
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Role Overview & Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students in EC Resource classrooms (2 elementary, 1 middle, 1 high)
- Develop and adapt lesson plans in compliance with IEP goals and state standards
- Assess student progress and document outcomes appropriately
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing updates and collaborating on individualized plans
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate accommodations and services
- Foster a positive, accessible, and safe learning space tailored to diverse student needs
- Maintain accurate and thorough records in line with district and state policies
This contract role begins July 27, 2026, and continues through July 2, 2027, with a consistent commitment of 35 hours per week in an engaging, onsite environment.
