Key Qualifications:

• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher required
• Valid Educational Interpreter License issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC)
• Demonstrated experience working within school settings, supporting either Special Education or General Education classrooms
• Strong collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and students
• Ability to interpret effectively in a variety of academic and extracurricular settings across K-12 grade levels
• Commitment to student confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver clear and accurate sign language interpretation for students, faculty, and staff during classes, meetings, and school events
• Foster inclusive communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and the broader school community
• Collaborate with other special education professionals and general education teachers to ensure students needs are met
• Adapt interpreting methods and communication styles to suit different subjects, students abilities, and lesson formats
• Maintain documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and IEP sessions as needed
