The district is eager to welcome an educator who can begin as soon as possible with the assignment continuing through late May 2027.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification
- Experience working with elementary students, especially in mild/moderate special education settings
- Strong classroom management and individualized instructional skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student
- Collaborative approach to partnering with general education teachers, specialists, and families
- Passion for fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom community
Primary responsibilities:
- Lead a classroom of approximately 20 students with diverse learning needs
- Create, monitor, and evaluate Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to ensure targeted student growth
- Adapt and differentiate lessons to meet varied learning styles and abilities
- Foster strong communication with families and multidisciplinary school teams
- Collect and analyze student data to drive instructional decisions
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education requirements
