Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored for students with severe and profound disabilities
  • Delivering engaging instruction to students in K3rd, 4th6th, or 7th8th grade classrooms, with both verbal and non-verbal learners
  • Creating a supportive, structured, and positive learning environment
  • Working closely with colleagues, therapists, and family members to advance each childs goals
  • Monitoring emotional, academic, and social progress with ongoing assessment and documentation

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current Mississippi Special Education (SPED) license required
  • Experience with students who have significant disabilities preferred
  • Strong communication, patience, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with virtual and onsite teaching environments a plus
  • Ability to collaborate and adapt to dynamic classroom needs

This contract position begins July 29, 2026, and runs through May 21, 2027, with a 37.5-hour workweek on a single campus in a supportive, forward-thinking district that values innovation and inclusivity.
