Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field (state certification required)
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies and behavioral interventions
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, staff, and administrators
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviors and build positive student relationships
  • Previous experience in a school-based special education setting preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deliver, and adapt lesson plans to meet the unique needs and learning goals outlined in each students IEP
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records, adjusting instruction as needed
  • Work collaboratively with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a coordinated learning approach
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student achievements, concerns, and strategies for at-home support
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and welcoming classroom environment where all students can thrive
  • Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development
