Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana DOE Certification (current, not pending or in renewal)
• Experience in special education settings preferred
• Ability to work independently with a single student in a supportive, focused environment
• Strong communication and adaptability skills
• Completion of district-required drug screening and fingerprinting, in addition to standard credentialing
• Readiness and enthusiasm to step into the classroom with minimal ramp-up

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and support to an assigned student, tailoring strategies to meet their unique educational and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with educational teams and parents to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with district policies
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning atmosphere
• Work closely with school staff to align interventions and strategies
• Attend meetings and participate in professional development as required
