A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available in Gretna, LA, serving the K-12 population within a contract position through the current school year. This role focuses on providing dedicated 1:1 support for students requiring specialized instruction in a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction tailored to a students unique needs in a 1:1 setting.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement effective education plans.
• Monitor and document student progress and adjust teaching methods as appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with all district policies including attendance at required meetings and trainings.
• Support the social and emotional development of assigned students.

Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana DOE Special Education teaching certification is mandatory (must be valid, not expired or in renewal).
• Experience working with students in special education, preferably K-12.
• Ability to pass district-required drug screening and fingerprinting.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ready for immediate start and able to effectively manage a caseload with individualized attention.

Position Details:

• Location: Gretna, Louisiana
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch, following the school calendar.
• Contract duration through May 22, 2026.
• Age range of student caseload to be determined.
