Job Description

Immediate openings for Special Education Teachers to support K-12 students with severe disabilities in a structured school environment in Greensboro, NC. This contract position runs through the current school year, from December 1st to May 22nd, 2026, with onsite responsibilities Monday through Friday, approximately 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver adaptive curriculum instruction to diverse K-12 students, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, non-verbal status, developmental delays, and challenging behaviors.
  • Manage classrooms averaging 10 students, providing tailored support and interventions to meet individual educational needs.
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals and behavior specialists such as Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to enhance student learning and behavioral outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Active North Carolina Special Education license for Adaptive Curriculum Teachers or Cross-Categorical Teaching License.
  • Experience working with students with severe disabilities and complex behavioral needs.
  • Commitment to onsite teaching; no remote work options are available due to the severity of student needs.
  • Ability to maintain a nurturing, supportive, and structured learning environment.

  • Onsite in Greensboro, NC at a K-12 school serving students with significant disabilities.
