Job Description

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with students in any of the following: Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grades K-5, Middle School (Grades 6-8), or High School (Grades 9-12), particularly those with varying instructional and social-emotional needs
  • Strong background in differentiating instruction for students with IEPs and accommodations
  • Passion for creating inclusive learning environments and engaging academic content
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively manage multiple grade levels and abilities within one role

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to students identified with disabilities in both inclusive and resource settings
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Partner with general education teachers to modify curricula and accommodate student needs
  • Use data-driven strategies to assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with families and support staff to promote student success and independence
  • Foster a safe, positive classroom climate where every student feels valued
