Job Description

This position focuses on teaching in a cross-categorical setting, working with high school students who have a range of mild-to-moderate disabilitiesincluding learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and mild intellectual disabilities. Rather than separating students by specific diagnoses, youll deliver services in an inclusive classroom, fostering a supportive and adaptive educational environment.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education certification (License #2801)
  • Demonstrated expertise working with high school students with varied mild-to-moderate disabilities
  • Strong background supporting students on the autism spectrum
  • Proven ability to differentiate instruction and create individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and colleagues
  • Adaptability to thrive in an inclusive, team-oriented setting
