This contract opportunity focuses on supporting students with diverse educational needs in a range of settings, from moderate special education classrooms to co-taught resource rooms across multiple school sites in the Great Falls, SC area.
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid South Carolina Special Education Teacher License with Multi-categorical or required certifications
- Experience working within elementary, middle, or high school special education settings preferred
- Ability to tailor instructional methods for students with a range of educational needs
- Comfortable working onsite; virtual options may be discussed closer to the school start date
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging instruction in special education settings, including moderate classrooms, co-taught resource rooms, and multi-categorical self-contained classrooms
- Support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development for students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other support professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain effective classroom management and compliance with state and federal educational guidelines
- Complete documentation and assessments as required
