A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in Great Barrington, MA, focused on providing dedicated support within Substantially Separate Classrooms. This opportunity involves working with students in K-1st grade and 3rd-5th grade rooms, catering to severe caseloads that include significant cognitive and physical disabilities.

Responsibilities include supporting students who require toileting assistance, some on the autism spectrum, and others who are non-verbal. Collaboration with Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) may be part of the role to enhance student progress. The position requires onsite presence to maintain a consistent and supportive learning environment.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Background in specially designed instruction tailored to meet individual student needs
• Experience with applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques
• Ability to manage and support students with significant physical and cognitive challenges
• Comfort and skill in providing toileting assistance as needed
