Desired Qualifications:

• Hold a current Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with elementary-age children in special education settings
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Skilled in adapting lessons and communication to a variety of learning styles
• Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to collaborate with paraprofessionals and other team members

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one instruction to a student with special education needs, following the schools curriculum and IEP goals
• Collaborate with a paraprofessional providing additional classroom support
• Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and support staff
• Foster a positive, engaging learning environment

This is a contract position with a typical workday running from 7:55 a.m. to 2:47 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a weekly commitment of 25-30 hours. The assignment runs through June 2027, offering a stable and consistent role.
