Key Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with K-12 students with varying abilities
  • Strong understanding of IEPs, 504 plans, and progress monitoring
  • Familiarity with differentiated instruction and classroom accommodations
  • Excellent communication skills with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to adapt quickly and provide a positive, inclusive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and assess individualized education plans for students
  • Work in partnership with general education teachers and support staff
  • Track and report student progress, maintaining accurate records
  • Foster a classroom culture of respect, encouragement, and inclusion
  • Adapt lessons and materials to meet varying student needs and learning styles
  • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate progress with families
  • Utilize technology and resources to enhance the learning experience
