Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education
• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
• Previous experience in a Resource and/or Self-Contained classroom preferred
• Strong understanding of IEPs, differentiated instruction, and progress monitoring
• Effective communicator and collaborator with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to foster an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere
• Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction to students, aligned with IEP goals
• Create engaging lesson plans addressing varied academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Develop and implement classroom management strategies that support a safe and structured learning environment
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of growth and achievement
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and schoolwide initiatives
• Provide ongoing support and encouragement to help each student succeed both academically and socially
