A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in a K-12 school setting located in Goose Creek, SC. This position is ideal for educators passionate about providing tailored instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. The contract is for the current school year and offers an in-person W-2 employment arrangement.
Three roles need to be filled, with assignments in both resource and self-contained classrooms. The ideal candidates will have experience working with students across various grade levels (K-12) in special education environments, utilizing individualized strategies to foster academic and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instructional support to students with disabilities in resource and self-contained settings
- Design, implement, and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience with K-12 special education services, including both resource and self-contained models
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instructional methods to different learning styles
- Commitment to supporting students academic, social, and emotional development
