Shape young minds and make a lasting impact as a Special Education Teacher for grades K-2 in a structured classroom setting. This contract position will span the 2026-2027 academic year, offering the opportunity to work onsite and play a vital role in supporting students growth and learning. Use your knowledge and skills to provide specialized instruction, behavioral support, and individualized services that help every child thrive.
What Youll Do:
- Deliver direct instruction aligned with each students Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Offer comprehensive case management for students receiving special education services
- Ensure all IEPs meet federal, state, and district compliance standards
- Develop and implement a full range of educational and behavioral support services
- Accurately maintain student records and program documentation
- Participate in and consult on the Response to Intervention (RtI) process
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs
- Collaborate with staff to facilitate effective accommodations and modifications in the classroom
- Implement and support behavior intervention plans to foster positive outcomes
- Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed by the school
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Special Education Teacher Certification
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Experience in early grades special education preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
