Four rewarding positions are available working onsite alongside dedicated teams to meet the needs of diverse learners in a welcoming area near Glendale Heights, IL.
Special education professionals in these roles will serve Inclusion/Resource or Structured classrooms with caseloads ranging from 5-10 students at the elementary and middle school levels. Each assignment is thoughtfully matched to your strengths and preferences, and support staff are available where indicated. The contracts run from August 11, 2026, through May 24, 2027, offering stability and the chance to see meaningful progress with your students over the full school year.
Candidates should possess:
- An active Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement required
- Experience with inclusion/resource or structured classroom settings
- Ability to effectively manage small caseloads and provide individualized instruction
- Comfort supporting students who may require toileting or behavioral guidance
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
- Dedication to fostering a safe, positive classroom environment
As a Special Education Teacher in this setting, you will:
- Design and deliver differentiated curriculum according to each students IEP
- Work closely with paraprofessionals and general education staff to support all learners
- Collect and analyze student data to inform instructional decisions
- Foster social-emotional growth alongside academic achievement
- Communicate regularly with families and other professionals
