Job Description

Seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to support high school students in a resource setting and make a meaningful impact through the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position is on-site and will involve providing case management for students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with staff, and ensuring all services and interventions meet diverse student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction in accordance with each students IEP goals
  • Manage compliance with federal, state, and district regulations related to IEPs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor a full continuum of special education services
  • Maintain accurate, timely records and IEP documentation
  • Provide case management, including coordination of meetings and ongoing support for students on IEPs
  • Consult and participate in the Response to Intervention (RtI) process
  • Maintain proactive, open communication with parents and guardians
  • Offer behavior management support and carry out behavior intervention plans as needed
  • Collaborate with staff to implement accommodations and modifications in the classroom
  • Create and maintain a positive, safe learning environment for all students
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by administration

Qualifications:

  • Current Arizona Special Education Teacher Certification
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid Arizona IVP (Identity Verified Prints) Fingerprint Clearance Card
