Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or resource teacher preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to differentiate instruction for a range of learning abilities
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to supporting the academic, emotional, and behavioral growth of students
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs for students with special needs
- Provide small group or one-on-one instruction according to students IEPs
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, parents, and service providers
- Monitor student progress, adjust teaching strategies, and maintain detailed documentation
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and school improvement initiatives
