Key Qualifications:

  • Active Arizona Special Education Teacher Certification required
  • Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain before start date)
  • Previous experience working with students on IEPs is highly valued
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and district mandates for special education
  • Excellent record-keeping and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and interdisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide case management services for students with IEPs
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all special education regulations
  • Deliver targeted instruction based on students' IEP goals
  • Develop and implement a full continuum of services and supports
  • Keep meticulous records to document student progress and compliance
  • Participate in the RtI (Response to Intervention) process
  • Communicate regularly and proactively with parents and guardians
  • Provide behavioral support and implement Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Collaborate with staff to deliver accommodations and modifications in the school setting
  • Foster a safe, nurturing learning environment
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed
