Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
• Valid state certification/licensure to teach Special Education
• Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and staff
• Adaptability and creative problem-solving abilities
• Ability to cultivate a patient, encouraging classroom atmosphere

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and assess individualized education plans tailored to each students unique needs
• Work closely with general education teachers and other professionals to deliver effective instructional strategies
• Provide direct instruction to students in both group and one-on-one settings
• Maintain accurate records to monitor progress and communicate updates to families and team members
• Promote a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student independence and confidence
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute insights on student progress
• Offer classroom modifications and accommodations as needed to ensure student engagement
