Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Washington Special Education (SPED) credential required
- Proven experience teaching or supporting students with diverse learning needs in special education settings
- Deep understanding of IEP implementation and compliance, with familiarity using digital IEP management systems (training provided)
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate effectively with teams, families, and administrators
- Organizational expertise to manage caseloads across K4th ACCESS classrooms
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual education plans (IEPs) for K4th grade students
- Document progress, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain timely communication with parents and multidisciplinary teams
- Support program goals by traveling between school sites within the district, ensuring continuity and quality of services
- Engage in paid team meetings and administrative hours as part of your regular responsibilities
- Collaborate with the districts supportive leadership, benefiting from professional training and mentoring as needed
