Key Qualifications:
- Current South Carolina Special Education certification (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience teaching elementary-aged children (strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in differentiated instruction and classroom management
- Collaborative, flexible attitude and commitment to inclusive practices
Primary Duties:
- Deliver direct, specialized instruction based on individual IEPs in a multi-categorical classroom setting
- Adapt curriculum to meet unique learning needs and strengths
- Implement effective behavior support and management techniques
- Partner with general education staff, related service professionals, and families
- Document student progress and maintain compliance records
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and professional development
