Key Qualifications:

• Current South Carolina Special Education certification, or the ability to obtain it
• Experience working with students in ED, behavioral, or alternative settings is highly desirable
• Strong expertise in classroom management and crisis intervention techniques
• Recognized talent for maintaining a calm, consistent, and empathetic presence, especially during escalated situations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized, standards-based instruction aligned with IEP objectives
• Implement effective behavior intervention plans and utilize de-escalation strategies as needed
• Create a therapeutic classroom environment that encourages structure and consistency
• Support students social-emotional growth and skill-building
• Collaborate regularly with behavioral specialists, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain comprehensive records and actively participate in IEP meetings
