In this role, youll work hands-on with elementary-aged learnerssupporting their unique needs through specialized instruction and evidence-based interventions. Youll collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure each student experiences academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to each students Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Adapt curriculum and utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate varying learning styles and needs
- Implement positive behavior supports and maintain a structured, inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor student progress with ongoing assessments and maintain accurate compliance documentation
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, team discussions, and professional development
- Foster a collaborative partnership with colleagues and parents to support student achievement
Desired Qualifications:
- Current or eligible certification in Special Education for South Carolina
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in a multi-categorical or inclusive setting
- Demonstrated expertise in classroom management, differentiation, and building positive student relationships
- Highly collaborative, organized, and proactive approach to teaching
- Strong communication skills and commitment to educational best practices
