Qualifications:

• Current and active Kentucky special education teaching license required
• Experience in elementary, middle, and/or high school special education settings
• Ability to adapt instruction and assessments for individualized student needs
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and parents
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction that meets the diverse needs of special education students in assigned grade levels
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Assess student progress and adjust strategies to promote academic and social growth
• Work with support staff, therapists, and general education teachers to ensure integrated classroom experiences
• Consult regularly with families, providing resources and updates on student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting as required
