Empower students across a wide range of grade levels as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic school setting near Fresno, CA. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by supporting learners from early childhood through high school, specializing in math while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education or eligibility for certification
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including Pre-K, elementary, middle, and high school levels
- Strong knowledge of individualized education program (IEP) development and implementation
- Ability to differentiate instruction for a variety of learners, particularly in math
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional special education services to students in grades Pre-K12, with a concentration on math curriculum
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure student success
- Utilize innovative strategies and adaptations to engage and support students with varying abilities
- Maintain accurate records and regularly assess student progress, adjusting instructional approaches as needed
- Participate in staff development sessions and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture
