The position begins August 7th, 2026, and runs through the school year, with a Monday through Thursday schedule that allows for a healthy work-life balance.
What Youll Bring:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (current or eligible for assignment)
- Experience working with elementary-age students, preferably in an autism support classroom
- Strong communication, collaboration, and behavior management skills
- Understanding of IEP writing and implementation
- Patience, empathy, and creative problem-solving abilities
- Adaptability to support students with diverse learning needs
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional support and individualized interventions to elementary students on the autism spectrum
- Develop and implement IEPs, collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams to set goals and track student progress
- Utilize evidence-based practices to foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment
- Support students social, emotional, and behavioral development through structured routines and proactive strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Communicate regularly with families and participate in team meetings
