What Youll Bring:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification (current or eligible for assignment)
  • Experience working with elementary-age students, preferably in an autism support classroom
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and behavior management skills
  • Understanding of IEP writing and implementation
  • Patience, empathy, and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Adaptability to support students with diverse learning needs

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instructional support and individualized interventions to elementary students on the autism spectrum
  • Develop and implement IEPs, collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams to set goals and track student progress
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment
  • Support students social, emotional, and behavioral development through structured routines and proactive strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal special education regulations
  • Communicate regularly with families and participate in team meetings
